My 9.5yr old daughter has been growing Pubic hair since she was around 5. We had test done to see if she was going through early puberty etc but all results came back normal and healthy. Now 4yrs later she’s broken out in some pimples on her forehead, her chest is beginning to develop and underarm hair. I know at 9.5 this is normal I’m just curious if anyone else found their daughters showed these developments and then got their period shortly after? I’ve spoken to her and educated her on periods and the changes and she is feeling confident, I’m just wondering if her period will begin soon? Also wondering if girls that age shave under their arms?

My daughter got her period within a year of underarm hair. I gave her the option to shave but she chose not to. She is 15 and rarely uses hair removal cream for her legs and doesn't shave under her arms. Offer the options to her, the pros and cons etc. Talk to her about it all and all the changes to come.
