Okay so my daughter is 9... Absolutely beautiful girl but my question is; do girls grow a lot more during "pre-puberty" or "pre-teen"??
My girls gone from a size 7 to a size 12 in less than 6 months!! She's usually goes through grow stages where she will go out then up when growing but now she's gone out and up at the same time! Her dad and his family are on the heavier side but my size we are all thin and tall.. I'm 5"6 and 55kgs, her dads about 5"7 and 108kgs, shes 5"2 now and weighs more than me.. I know she's got heaps more growing to do and ive never body shamed her or said anything bad about heavy people but as shes becoming mature shes now started to realise shes bigger and taller than other girls... I guess im just grumpy and sookieb because im a single mum and 4 month ago I spent $300 on new clothes for her only to have to throw them out or give them away and do it again now! But 4 sizes bigger!!!

My girl is same age, has filled out and grown a little bit, enough that Ive definitely noticed it noone else has. She has gone from fitting a 7/8 to a 10 even 11/12 for some jumpers and tees if we want any room. I have also been thinking that was a big jump, maybe its the age and sizing?
This is the fattening up stage before the shooting up! Shooting up as in growing taller obviously 🤣. All my kids went through a bit of a chubby stage at this pre teen stage. All normal!
Totally normal. My girl was the same at that age.
Kids sizes are funny! If her hips are starting to get a bit wider she will definitely zoom through the sizes very quickly. Girls clothes aren't made for wide hips. You could try the smaller ladies clothes, get her to try a ladies 8 on and see what it's like. Ladies clothes will grow with her more easily, buy stretchy fabric and elastic waist bands.
When you look at her does she look proportionate? What I mean by that is does she just look like she's gotten taller, more solid and filled out?
If so I wouldn't worry and I think you've probably seen the most of this growth spurt since it was so rapid, so hopefully that's a bit of relief for your pocket lol.
I do think the prepubescent age is a really good time to instill good eating and lifestyle habits though. Purely just because they're hard to establish once puberty hits with full force.
