I have just spoken with another mum about a sleepover that my daughter had attended recently with some other girl friends.
They were in a social media Group chat (perhaps snap chat) And dick picks were featured.
I don’t know much more than that so the details are sketchy.
The girls are 11.
Does anyone have some good tools that us mums can use to educate the girls about online use? Particularly I don’t want them to ever do tit shots or worse because someone asks them. Clearly they know nothing about the ramifications of those actions so education is a must.
Thanks

Why are children that age even on snap chat. Isn’t the legal age to have that app over 13. Why are they allowed in it unsupervised?
I’m not sure why an 11 year old needs a phone , or why they “need” Snapchat.
I have an older teen and she isn’t allowed it for this exact reason and she is happy with that excuse “my mum won’t let me have it”
She’s seen the horrible things that can happen.
When you gave your child the phone what did you lay down? What did you discuss etc ... I would go right back to basics and research online safety - there’s a plethora of information but at 11 you really need to still be in control and watching over.
