Is it worth going to court?

Curious as to how much mums have spent on property settlement court fees? At my wits end with ex partner, two years down the track and he's stalling on property settlement with lawyers. Ie. Takes months to respond to every email. Is it worth going to court and getting it done and dusted? (Note, there are no child custody issues, so simply a property settlement). Thanks

Whilst I can't comment on how much a lawyer will cost, as this can vary depending on how much involvement is required ( is there other assets to be included, who'sontributed what when it comes to these assets) I would be setting aside at least 6-10k. I guess you need to look at the following factors...... what is the property valued at minus what is owed on the mortgage, then split that 50 / 50 after legal fees come out are you still left with a substantial amount of $$ (significantly more then what you would pay in legal fees to get the money)
