What are your experiences with mole removal services?
I have roughly 25 small to medium raised and flat moles on my body and face I'd like to have removed and ive had the all clear from the gp so none are cancerous.
I have enquired at a couple of shopping centre laser clinics but I think I'd like to hear some real reviews first.
What is the best technique? I don't want scars on my face afterwards...
Also how much could I expect to pay? One place quoted $150 each which for 25 would be a small fortune. Is there a place that charges a flat fee?
Has anyone gone to a doctor instead of a laser store?
Any advice or stories of experience would be greatly appreciated.
I'm based in western Sydney.
Thanks girls!

Personally I'd go to a specialist. They've the training and knowledge to do it properly. Some laser places have minimally trained staff.
It's better to pay for proper treatment as you'll be less likely to need further treatment or botched procedures.
Perhaps do some now & some later on. 25 at once would be painful!
Why do you want them removed? Personally I'd leave them be unless you have to have them removed. It's a painful and quite traumatic process, from personal experience.
I have olive skin and a large number of moles similar to what you've described and had to had many removed due to looking suspicious - I'm up to 11 removed now, from my back, neck, legs and shoulders. This has left me with keloid scarring on my back and neck which looks horrific. I now have to have mine photographed quarterly to keep on top of changes because mine change so often. I attend a skin clinic where there are specialists in skin cancer.
PS you cannot possibly know if they're cancerous or not without having them removed and sent to pathology, I would not trust your GP to tell you unless they've been biopsied. Thankfully none of mine have been, yet. And several times the specialists at the skin clinic have been convinced that the outcome wouldn't be good.
My advice: seek out a specialist skin cancer clinic. Have them photographed. Then leave them alone unless you have to remove them.
I had quite a number removed from my face and body. No scars but you can kind of tell where they were because it's white now. Far better than moles, to me they looked ugly so I totally get wanting them removed. I don't think others notice though, nobody commented when mine were gone lol. I paid $600 maybe 3 years ago, but on the Gold Coast at a place that just does Laser treatments. That was a flat fee to get them all done. I needed 3 or 4 followup visits, to make sure they were totally removed. Can't remember what I paid for those appointments.
