Going back to work after a long break

Hi All,

After 8+ years of being a stay at home mum, I have landed myself an incredible job.
I am quite nervous about going back to work, fitting in with a team again, and also managing my house and family.
My partner is extremely supportive and helpful around the house.
I've always just done everything in my own time, because well I had the time...
Any tips on how to manage food/meals for 5 people and the housework and getting everyone sorted for school etc.

Thank you

We try and get everything ready for school / work the night before. Pack bags, uniforms out, my clothes ironed ready to go. I do a big shop Sunday and have a meal plan for the week so you don’t have to think about it when you get home. Something quick and easy, fish and salad, spaghetti bol, soup, tuna bake. I also got a cleaner for the first time in my life and she has been brilliant! I went back to work when my kids were all at school and although I was so tired initially it was amazing how quickly working in an office environment all came flooding back. You’ll be great! Good luck!
I should also add I get up about 30mins before the kids to have a shower and get organised before the onslaught begins!
