My girls 7 and 9 are at school and i have a great job. Both my husband and i were sure we dont want more children so he has booked a vasectomy. Ever since its been booked im having a strong impulse for another child. To try for a boy maybe? Everythings great now but i feel like its just because i know its so permanent. My husbands dead set on no more children "from him"
Is this feeling normal before making a permanent decision or what? I struggled so much being a stay at home mum but the desire to try for another has me really urging (and keen if you know what i mean 😉)

Nope, this is just your nerves over the decision being made setting in.
However even if it wasn’t, your husband doesn’t want anymore so it would be a no anyway.

Trust me, having a boy is soooo hard! I'd take girls any day. If your husband doesn't want anymore well then you're just going to have to deal.
There is no point entering the though. Your husband has said no. He is that against it he is going to get permanently fix up.
It’s only because it’s a permanent decision. Once it’s done, it’s done, so of course your second guessing. Trust me, someone who had two girls who tried for a boy later on.... I got my boy, but 3 is soooo much harder. I love my kids but I’d love to just have my 2 girls and left it at that.
The question is are you going to be disappointed if it is another girl? I would say if your heart is not full with the two that you have and want another baby regardless of gender I would say yes do it. But if just doing it in hope for a boy maybe not. It has to be a joint discision with your husband if it is going to be a sh!t fight in your relationship I wouldn't push the point. This is coming from a mum of 1 boy 1ectopic 1 miscarriage and pregnant with another boy husband is booked in for vasectomy. One day we may be blessed to have a granddaughter. Good luck hun xxx
