Payments

Hi mummas,

I am currently a little stress ball atm, through consent orders my ex is wanting 50:50. However I have been trying to find work, hard to get a job let alone one that’s going to work for my 3 children, moving soon which will make it harder but easier. How will going 50:50 effect my payments? I have no idea what will happen! I’m stressed out thinking about the next 6 months.

Only one of you will be entitled to parenting payment, so I believe you still get that as long as he’s working and doesn’t intend to claim, however you FTB will drop a bit. It’s best to use the online estimator on centrelink site and have a look

There's a few different factors here.... will both of you be claims any Centrelink payments for those children, if so then you will only get paid for your percentage of care, same for him. If he's not, you could get more, but if he's got to pay you child support then it will go down again. As said above, google centrelink online estimator. This will give you the most accurate amount you would be entitled too.
