My 12 year old daughter is very forgetful with everyday stuff, she showers every morning, but I have to take note of when she washes her hair or she just won't do it, she never remember to put deodorant on, and quite frankly she stinks, I remind her to put it on when she's going to the shower, she'll come home from school really smelly, I'll ask again 'hey love, did you put deodorant on this morning?' And the answer is generally no....
How do I get through to her???

Visual schedule. At the door. Not overwhelming just the major things. Check it off before you leave each morning.
Routine, routine, routine!
My son always needed to be walked through a new hygiene practice for at least a week before it became part of his habits.
So I’d do that with the visual schedule.
Chick a little roll on in her bag too.
Routine.
She'll eventually just do it.
Door chart . I had one for my son. All as she has to do is check it every mornjng and mark it off as 'done'. With your supervsion until she gets used to it works a treat !
Yep I would do the same as others have said.
If she's into a specific theme/show etc create a visual schedule that she will be interested in. Tell her she's not to pass through the door until she ticks them all off with a whiteboard marker. Wipe it off each Sunday night and start again Monday.
I make my daughter shower every night and in the Mornings I make sure she sprays beofre she leaves. If she doesn’t spray she isn’t going anywhere. I also make her shower most mornings or after school depending but she doesn’t smell because I make sure she sprays her deodorant on. I make sure she knows how to wash properly and explain to her why and that people at school will tease her if she smells. She’s fine with it, she does it all. If I wasn’t there to make sure she puts it on she will forget.
If your daughter smells, make her have a shower. She will soon get into the habit of wearing deodorant if she thinks she has to shower all the time. I got my daughter a roll on and a spray one and I get her to carry one in her school bag. My daughter is only 10 but it’s important that we remind them and show them, so they are comfortable with it and understand why.
