Your employed. That’s a silver lining.
Second start a plan to change careers. Give yourself something to look forward to..
Find simple things to pass your time that you get joy from.
Everybody took a mental health hit during this. Treat your mental health and see how things settle after. No harm looking at changing jobs or careers.
Did you feel this way prior to Covid or only since?
1. You've recognised there's an aspect of your life that you're unhappy with. You are free to take whatever steps necessary in order to improve that.
2. You're still employed. Not to sound callous or dismissive but that makes you exceptionally lucky. It gives you some financial freedom to further your study or qualifications and if you like this industry just not this particular workplace, moving on to another facility is always a possibility too.
You have choices!
3. If your mental health has taken a real hit, there's things you can do about that also. A video call with your GP would be a great place to start.
Life is only bleak if we allow it to be.
if you hate your boss, apply for roles at other schools. or do you hate working in this type of job? both have different ways of working to a happy place. the silver lining is you have reasonable well paid employment, you have good con workers, hopefully parents appreciate you more. kids at that age love their teachers. Only you know if it's the job, boss or just the crazy circumstances that is driving your unsatisfied feeling.
