Endometrial Ablation

Endometrial Ablation

I would like your experience with an endometrial ablation please. I have horror movie scene periods each month, and after having our 3rd baby 2 years ago and trying everything else possibly, my gynecologist has given me the choice of either an EA or a hysterectomy. To be honest, I’d rather just have a hysterectomy and get the whole thing over and done with. Not to mention there is no risk of another pregnancy. But we don’t have any family support where we live to help out while I recover from surgery, so I opted for the ablation instead as recovery time is less. My gyno said that I have a 50% chance of the ablation working and I may still need to have a hysterectomy anyway.

So what are your experiences with an ablation?

I think the ablation is worth a go if you don’t have family support. In my sisters case it did help for awhile, and recovery was very quick. The ablation she was back on her feet the next day.
