Weight loss

Any advice on any weight loss medication please? I’ve got a really great doctor and she’s given me some information to read about on Contrave, Duromine and also the injectable (and new) Saxenda. Any advice please? I’m looking to loose about 15-20kg. I feel like I’ve tried everything to do it on my own. Any personal experience with these drugs please?

*please be kind. I’m so emotional about it.

Took duromine, lost 10kg in like 6 weeks. I could barely sleep my anxiety was through the freaking roof and I was always on edge.
I put it all back on a few months later and doubled it.
I would never do it again. I know that's not what you want to hear, I didnt want to hear it either.
I've now lost 10kg just eating well and exercising CONSISTENTLY and I'm finding the maintenance so easy because I've really learned how over time.
The first step is understanding that there is no overnight fix. I know it sucks I really do.
You can do this.

Duromine is awful. Well it was awful for me. Lost weight, didn't sleep at all. I was on edge. I put the weight back on.

I need to lose 20kg (ideally). So, I had a lightbulb moment. Cut out sugar, processed food, bread, pasta etc. I'm now preparing lunches, drinking heaps of green tea and water and black coffees (no sugar). I've stopped eating after 7.30pm

In 3 weeks I've lost 3kg and I'm stoked. I'm going to change my life, not just "diet".

My experience is all of the above is great whilst using them, but once off them you’ll pack it back on as quicker than you lost it.

I recommend weight watchers - it’s a lesson on healthy choices that you will never forget.

Good luck and stick with it.
