PGAD Please help

Hi I am desperately searching for someone that has this same condition which I have been suffering with persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD) on and off for years as it may sound nice to some it is actually extremely distressing and when I talk to my mum about the distressing condition she just laughs it off and treat it as a joke, my husband is trying to take me seriously but it seems that he doesn’t know much about the condition to understand what I’m going through, I have three school aged children with my husband, he works and I am a stay at home mum, obviously the condition is quiet discreet for me no one will know when it is happening, but it gets in the way of my every day life, it can go on for hours sometimes even a day, I may not get it for a day or two some times it goes away for weeks but when I experience this disorder it is extremely distressing I literally can not function when it is happening and they are very unwanted orgasms they keep going in and on every 1 minutes for hours sometimes a full day and I end up in tears from frustration and exhaustion, I am too embarrassed to go to a doctor, I just want to know if there is anyone else that has this condition and why they do to possibly stop it, I can’t live like this anymore

I just want to say, I get it. I know very little about the condition but I relate. People often wish they had my sons disorders because it means he sleeps a lot 🤬, He is in a near coma like state for long periods of time and apparently that is something to wish for.

There is such a thing as too much and I’m sorry you are going through this. Have you tried searching for a Facebook group?

Don't be embarrassed to talk to a GP. Pick a lady if your usual GP is male. They have heard nearly everything, and are trained to listen and be supportive. If the condition has been named then there have been studies; there will be others out there in the same boat who may have answers you're looking for. Good luck mumma x

Please don't google diagnose yourself! See a GP,
