Needing some advice please.
After I birthed my baby I was having convulsion jerks where my head was flicking to one side and I was in and out of consciousness.
They gave me muscle relaxers and sedatives and I fell asleep for the night.
From then on when I was exhausted I would have one and to stop it I had to sleep. They put me on seizure medication which has kept them controlled.
After I had him I noticed a weakness in my right hand. I would suddenly drop capsule, drop glasses. My hand would just let go.
I told my neurosurgeon who said my hand showed no weakness from his test. And then it seemed to be okay.
This was two years ago. Now my right hand has started being weak again. I didn’t actually realise but when I use spray I have to swap to my left hand because my right isn’t strong enough.
And I’m getting lots of pins and needles in it at night.
Also my right foot has started tripping over things like it doesn’t lift. I concentrate hard but I still trip.
So I’ve only tonight put all of this together and clearly I’ll make an appointment with my gp. But it will obviously be a wait and I’m feeling desperate for any answers.
Has anyone ever had similar or have any insight? Obviously I know it could be a number of things but I would like to be mindful of what is possible. Thank you for reading

Hi! I had exactly this after the birth of my son, it came on suddenly and very aggressively. I went to hospital and at first they thought I had had a stroke however they then told me MS was the cause and I went through a lot of vigorous testing. MRI with dye injected is the best way for diagnosis and it actually ruled out MS. Turns out I have a cyst on my brain and a minor tumour on my pituitary gland which was triggered by the hormones of birth and breastfeeding. I also was almost at the point of a blood clot in my arm due to my breasts engorging so much from breastfeeding and blocking my armpits and the blood flow. It’s controlled now easily and if symptoms continue they can drain the cyst/put a continuous drain in. The only time it’s affected me was after a miscarriage where it caused a severe hormonal reaction, I’m now pregnant (due in a week) and so far have had no issues. I won’t be breastfeeding though as that contributed to the hormonal response last time :)
Good luck with everything, don’t scare yourself with self diagnosis!
There are a few things that this could be. MS is often quite bilateral and there can be pins and needles in Bilat limbs also. Please don’t stress as stress will heighten your symptoms. Definitely follow up with your GP. But maybe also tough base with a physio or Osteo who are very qualified to assess the musculoskeletal system.
