Mirtazapine Withdrawal

Mirtazapine Withdrawal! 10 nights down and this is horrific. Has anyone lived through it and survived? 5 months on it and pretty quick taper.

Hello! Not familiar with that medication but going by the tags I'm guessing it's antidepressants in which case you should have been weaned off slowly under the directions of your doctor. Please seek medical advice because antidepressants can have some scary side effects going on them and coming off 😊

I’ve not come off this particular antidepressant but I have had major withdrawal from another SNRI. It was horrific! I think that sometimes you need to taper much slower than what the doctors are suggesting and it may take longer for the withdrawal to pass than they say. I also believe there are medications that can ease the transition as well. I was ripped off a higher dosage way too quick and had withdrawal for 4mths. Pretty rough times. I couldn’t work, look after my kids, leave the house or even feed myself or anything and I’m usually very resilient. I really feel for you and hope you can figure it out.
