PLEASE can anyone provide some advice
I’m 37yrs old. Healthy and active. Have two children under 3.
For the past 8yrs I have suffered vaginal thrush on and off for weeks at a time. Usually a few days before my period, during my period, then afterwards. Sometimes randomly only for a few days - other times for a week or more.
I’m at my wits end 😭
The only time I don’t get thrush is when I’m pregnant 🤷🏻♀️
YES I’ve had every test imaginable for Sexually transmitted infections and diseases and it’s always negative. No complicated births and no other vaginal problems whatsoever. Pap smears all negative and normal.
Have had my glucose blood sugar tested and that’s all normal fasting and non fasting.
I’ve had the same partner for those 8yrs who has been so supportive and had the tests too. All negative and no concerns of cheating or anything like that.
It’s just ME! Ive tried everything from creams to tablets and we even both took them just to make sure neither of us were giving it to each other. Tried wearing loose clothing and eating a good diet and improving gut health and cotton breathable underwear, blotting only, not wiping back to front ra ra ra - nothing fixes it for good.
Anybody have any ideas - OTHER than everything I’ve already tried as mentioned above?
I can’t go on like this forever it’s debilitating 😞

I don't have many other ideas besides all the things you've already tried.
My only wonder is, do you eat a lot of yeasty foods?
I am prone to thrush, and I also get a skin rash called tinea versicolor, and I am allergic to vegemitr/wine/beer.. all things high in yeast so wondering if your body can't process anything high in yeast like mine?
Has the doctor investigated your blood sugar levels??
If you read her post , it already mentions her blood sugar 🙄
And if you read all the comments, you'd already know it was edited into the original post after this comment 😂😂🙄

Have you tried sitz bath with Apple cider vinegar? Regularly. I'd see a naturopath. Google ATP science they have a bunch of great podcasts that might give you some advice
Broad spectrum probiotics?
Have you tried taking yocult or yoghurt daily? I know my mother had to drink yocult if she takes antibiotics or she gets thrush
I had the misfortune of having thrush about a year ago... I had an infection took antibiotics and got really bad diarrhea... That is what started it. I used various things and it kept coming back.
I ending up taking the Canesten Duo once tablet but twice and used the internal cream..but I got 2 lots of it and used it for 10 days. you must use the internal cream as it sits up near the cervix. And started regularly taking probiotics. All good since.
Good luck I never had thrush before till I was 37 but jeez is nasty.
What do you wash your clothes with ? What do you wash your intimate areas with ? Do you shower too little or too often ? Do you douche with vinegar and water ? There’s an imbalance going on somewhere . Have you had your hormones tested ? Otherwise probiotics and cannisten cream are great .
Do you have an allergy or intolerance to your partners sperm ? As that can definitely cause ongoing thrush and requires a different type of testing .
Sometimes sex toys , lubes , and condoms can too , if you have an allergy to the latex in those things .
This was me exactly. It drove me insane for years. So many doctors visits, so many STD checks, every cream and pessary. I stopped eating fruit, sounds weird, I know, but in the 3 years since I reduced how much fruit I ate it's stopped. To put into perspective before I was eating 2 serves of fruit a day and now I roughly eat 2 serves per week. Ps I still eat vegetables all the time
I recently was also dealing with back to back cases of thrush, though mine was only a few months however my dr prescribed a tablet similar to the canestan once tablet but a slightly higher dose and then had me take one every day for a month plus a high strength probiotic and high strength vitamin C supplements. Is this something you can discuss with your dr?
Also make sure you aren't using any soaps in the region and maybe a canestan rinse when washing your clothes might help
I suffered constant thrush when in a relationship with an ex. As it turned out it was due to him. He had a foreskin. Not cleaned properly or sex before showers just spontaneous sex he was giving me bacteria every time. Never had an issue with circumcised partners.
I used to have a mild issue when I was taking the pill as a contraceptive. Perhaps have a look at your contraception history and whether it started with that?
I was the exact same except for over 20 years , had to go gluten free for other reasons but have had it once since ... and that’s over 2 years . Yes it’s extreme but it works .
