Has this happened to anyone,My husband had his tax taken off him by csa be apparently he owes me 34000 in child support, but we have been married for 10years and just had our third baby, we don’t claim any Centrelink just the child care rebate, they have said it’s going to take a few weeks to sort out, when we called them

Is there any chance that in those 10 years he has had another baby outside the marriage and csa has just caught up with him
The OP said that her husband owe her money for child support... who knows with CSA?? They cannot get even simple things right.
I got a letter sent to me this financial year with a debt that my partner apparently owed me, it was actually a debt he owed his ex, they stuffed it up and it got sent to me with my name on it! You never know what people are hiding
This happened to my brother in law (sisters husband) last financial year. My sister presumed it was a mistake because the correspondence had her name as to who he owed the money too. He had a child with another woman (who had the same name as my sister) after having an affair and never told my sister. Not long after he got her pregnant he took a job in North Queensland and he relocated with my sister and their 2 kids from Melbourne and never told the other woman he was moving. Apparently now with data matching they are catching lots of parents out who try to avoid child support. Lots of secrets are about to be exposed because of Centrelink.
Did ur sister dump his sorry ass?
She sure did 👍🏼

The OP stated that the husband owes HER child support, not to another person. CSA is a weird, unorganised beast!
She said that, but unless she has seen it for herself from her own end directly from them then the chance is very high it's actually someone else.
So he owes YOU child support? I would say thanks mate, pay up 😂. How strange. Have you ever broken up, even for a little while? This might be where it comes from, Centrelink and CSA don't share information apparently.
Child support is a joke!! If you don't get answers, call the complaints line.
My stepson lives with us now 100% of the time. No matter how many time we have updated the details online and over the phone, my husband's CSA hasn't changed. He has actually overpaid child support and has a few hundred dollars waiting to be claimed...only CSA can't work out how to pay it back to us (yes, we've provided bank details!).
Keep calling and making sure that you don't let them slip!
You have to ask for a new assessment or wait for it to automatically renew every 3 months.
Check that they do mean you.
My ex gets his tax taken all the time to pay child support debts to me. I’m pretty sure, since he hasn’t seen our son since he was born he doesn’t tell partners that he exists.
You haven't applied for CS as opposed to CCS by chance?
Otherwise quite potentially he has another child out there and with the new way payments are being done and tax lodgements etc. are with single touch payroll, he needs to pay up. What has happened in the previous years that he has lodged tax?
Before making accusations 1. give him a chance to admit if he has another kid and otherwise be patient and see what Centrelink come back with.
Did he tell you it’s owed to you or are child support writing your name and details on the “owed”money
