Female Issues

This is gonna sound like a silly question, perhaps, but does anyone know of a way to prevent pregnancy and 100% stop periods WITHOUT having a hysterectomy. Or, better question, does having a hysterectomy have to mean bad side effects like lack of sex drive, hormonal issues?

My issues are twofold:

I never, ever want to have more children. I have one, she's amazing and I love her more than anything, but I'm 100% sure I do not want more. I want a permanant preventative with no failure rate that does not impact on my sex life, and has minimal effect on my hormones (BTW before anyone jumps in, my husband cannot have a vasectomy - long story, he has a medical condition, we've investigated with all the specialists and he's been told no);

My periods SUCK. I cannot use anything internally, it sets off allergies and sensitivity to both tampons and cups and my vagina rebels against insertion most of the time, either tightening up so much that I cannot get anything in there, or I can feel the tampon or cup in there, despite perfect placement. I also can't stand the feeling of bleeding into pads or period underwear. My flow is quite full on and I get flooding and feel damp all the time. This month I leaked through an overnight pad in period underwear and when sat on the loo I passed massive clots.

So, how do I get around these issues? I don't want any internal "devices" (been there, done that). Is there a magical option that I don't know about that would suit my needs? Because if it wasn't for the side effects I'd go and ask to get the whole lot removed. I'm so done with being a woman.

Ablation?

You can have a partial hysterectomy where they remove the uterus but not the ovaries. That means you don’t go into menopause.
You could also have an ablation which is a much better recovery time. Less invasive procedure.
Sometimes they do two procedures, my sister has had her tubes tied and an ablation.
I’ve had my tubes tied but always use a secondary contraceptive. I’ve never considered the ablation because my periods are a non event.

I got my tubes tied almost 4 years best decision ever. And periods are non-existent
