My son have been diagnosed with Severs Disease. I would love to hear from other parents who has had children with the same condition. How looking did it last? What treatment worked to reduce the symptoms? Did it re-occur?

Hi, my 10 year old was recently diagnosed with that. Massive growth spurt and very active. He went from super active to hobbling around like an old man. Saw a podiatrist who did a full body check. He ended up having weak ankles, knees , hips, etc due to compensating and growing so fast. She made him inserts for his shoes and he does over an hour of exercises to strengthen his core, hips and legs. The turn around in just 2 weeks is amazing!!!! He is walking like a normal kid again. He isn't in pain anymore. Before, even walking was almost bringing him to tears. I am so surprised how quickly everything is working but the Dr did said she would fix him up quickly.
