I have painful periods
I’ve gone to the doctor and was told to take nurfeon regularly a few days before my period and during it however it doesn’t make a difference
Before my period I have a pain in my left side that’s achy and then one the first day of my period I feel like I’m being ripped in two but by the third day the pain is gone
I also have heavy periods too and lots of clots. I’m terrified something is wrong but I keep being told by doctors it’s normal
Does anyone else have this?

I had that and eventually found a wonderful doctor that prescribed me meds to take during period. Helped a whole lot. sorry I dont remember what they were, not the typical painkillers.
I had similar. I was prescribed naprogesic. I also found going on the pill helped. Since having kids periods seem to of settled down a lot
It is not normal. I have endometriosis and this is some of how I get during a period. Ask to see a gyno.
Sack your doctor immediately. Sounds like you have endometriosis. If a doctor prescribes only nurofen for that and doesn't send you for investigations, he needs to go back to school. Find a new doctor who understands the female form ASAP.
