Can someone share their experience in taking the antidepressant pristiq? But more so, coming off pristiq.
I was really sick with gastro last week and kept throwing the damn tablet up resulting in the most horrendous brain zaps. Has anyone come off pristiq and how long did the brain zaps last.
If you have never experienced a brain zap, its like an eletric current running through your head and doing big zaps at random. If you stand still you feel like the room is spinning which makes you feel nauseous.

Oh god that must be horrendous. Have you thought about taking CBD oil while you wean off it. It’s not addictive and it might just make the symptoms more manageable.

Here’s an independent story. It can be difficult to get but there are suppliers.
Changing or stopping meds can be a trying time for the whole family. I remember having to do emergency runs to my husband to give him things to cope with heart palpitations, all consuming anxiety attacks, headaches etc. two weeks I think it took. Just apologise and ask him to be patient, a better you is coming.
I had an ex on it but he went psychotic when he came off it. The withdrawals were horrendous, sweats, violently sick and he went crazy. The worst medication in my view that can be given. I wish you well and hope you feel better soon. I’d start taking at least half your dose asap again and build it back up so the worst of your symptoms are eased
