I'm wandering something I think is quite a simple question...
If a couple are in parenting partnered through centrelink, yet only one person is being paid (yes I know it's so suss) is it up to the person being paid to pay any child support that needs paying?
My ex does not have a job. Won't get one. Claims his gf pays for and supports everyone, including our two children. And yet claims he's on parenting partnered through centrelink.
Should that mean that she pays his child support for him?
I'm so confused.... Help.

No, for him to pay it he would need to be lodging a tax return etc.
How much care does he have, if he is claiming parenting payment for your kids then he would be having a fair percentage of care? He may not have to pay child support, if you work you may need to pay him. Her money is not included in Child Support Assessments.
Why would she pay child support for him? It’s not her kid.
So he spends all of his money and she pays it? That's their problem.
One person in the relationship getting parenting payment partnered through Centrelink is correct.
The other person either works or gets Newstart.
New partner’s income isn’t included in the child support assessment. Yours and bio dad’s income and care levels determine the child support payable.
How they come up with the money to pay it to you is up to them to figure out.
You are confused
He either pays CS from wages or pays CS from Centrelink payments
His partner has no bearing on how much he pays
Only his wages or HIS pension affects your payment
It is the same rate for all paying parents on a Centrelink payment or on a wage with no effect from how much a new partner earns or collects.
