My 6yo is borderline ADHD and impulsive screaming behaviour, Im asking for real experiences or techniques you have used to teach/help your child to learn how to control the screams. Ive read plenty of "studies" and currently seeings Drs, just want advice from Mums and Dads

A big piece of chewing gum like hubba bubba. They have to move the gum to scream which puts a thought process into it.
This sounds like a good idea - could you take it one step further and encourage them to put their scream into blowing a big bubble? Just a thought. I suppose it depends on age?
Oh god I totally feel your pain. My sons Paediatrician and Phsycologist deffinitely think he has ADHD, but he is still only 4 (nearly 5) and they don’t like to diagnose until they are 6.
My son constantly screams and yells and bangs and smashes. It’s so bloody infuriating. I have to tell him a million times a day to ‘take a breath and control yourself’, but 30 seconds later he is screaming and yelling again. He will be getting a sibling in 3 months time, so I’m just dreading bringing the new baby home to such a hectic environment 🤣
Really feel for you, I hope you can find a solution.
