Anyone have any advice/knowledge with transdirect, couriers please and PayPal? I know this isn’t parenting related but there’s some really smart people here that can hopefully help me
I sold an expensive item to someone in qld, choose PayPal so we’d both be protected. Sent the item. The buyer wasn’t happy with the condition of the item (it was second hand and I sent many photos it was also 8 years old which she was aware of so it was a bit of a surprise when she wasn’t happy) I refunded her via PayPal on the basis she’d have to send it back via registered, insured signiture on delivery post. I never received it. Apparently delivery was attempted on the 20/02/19, and delivered on the 21/02/2019 at 7am. I was home during that time and had no idea, I don’t even know if it was actually delivered or not as the driver has no proof, I was meant to sign for it but obviously didn’t. I didn’t know until the following week that it had been delivered (there was nothing outside of my house) and PayPal refunded the buyer $950. I contacted PayPal and they told me to speak to the courier company. I spent 2 weeks trying to locate the parcel with transdirect, called every 2-3 days. They even sent out a driver who I had to close the door on as he was getting very emotional and aggressive and scaring me and my children at 7:15am!!. It came to the conclusion with the courier company that it was the drivers fault and I was to contact PayPal and the sender and organise claiming of the insurance paid for on the parcel, neither PayPal or the buyer are willing to help (the buyer isn’t responding and PayPal say it’s ‘out of their hands’ and there’s nothing they can do other than encourage the buyer to assist me) so I am out of pocket, and without my $1800 handbag I reluctantly sold (I sold it because I am pregnant and trying to make some extra money to help support my family. Please help!

Unfortunately, I think this is a case of lost funds unless the courier company will refund you.
The person you sold to obviously has proof and a tracking number that they sent it back so they have upheld their end of the agreement and therefore won't be forced to refund you any money. This is completely in the hands of Transdirect however in the goodness of her heart, she should be helping to resolve this with transdirect.
Couriers please are HORRIBLE read their reviews and quite often they fail to deliver packages and fail to follow up on anything. I spent weeks making phone calls trying to track a package they would claim they attempted to deliver but never did as I was always home at those times. You ring and they never ring back or give any answers.
