Melatonin for children

Ladies I am looking to hear your experiences with using melatonin for your children.. Our doctor has suggested we try it for miss 4 who has never been a self settler always suffered from the night terrors and genuinely has not sleep a full night in 3 years 😭 she is a super active child goes to bed roughly the same time every night... she starts kindly in February and we are due with our second baby in August I also work full time.. Help a tired stressed out mumma

We get it from iherb on our paediatricians advice (he gave us a script but it’s super expensive). Absolute game changer. Costs me $13 per month and 1 bottle is enough for nightly dose for Mr 5 & Mr 6. I give it half an hour before bed and see ya later!!!

Definately try it , my suggestion with night terrors though is start on a lighter dose as my son who has had night terrors since he was 2 got worse with a dose of 4mg but when I reduced it to about 1.5-2mg it works great for him !!!
I also tried it for myself and a full 10 mg made me really groggy and I didn’t like it 😬 but a lower dose is great and helps me fall asleep on those night where u feel wired and just can’t drift off .
My sister also tried it on her son and he’s very sensitive so kinda freaked out at the feeling so she doesn’t use it

Oh my other tip is don’t give it too early if ur kids an early riser , it helps them get a deeper sleep so if they happen to wake in the early morning it’s very unlikely they’ll go back to sleep ;) so timing is everything hehe
