Paying child support while on workers compensation

Hoping to get some advice in regards to Child Support payments while ex is on workers compensation. Ex has consistently dodged the child support system where he can, avoiding making payments, quitting jobs when they catch up with him etc. He is in arrears with his payments by a few thousand dollars now and avoiding clearing his debt. He is currently not working due to being on workers comp although he doesn’t appear to be injured in the way that he has said. If he is receiving workers compensation is Child support Australia able to take payments from that to clear his debt? The debt dates back to when he was definitely working but avoided making the payments.

Please no judgemental comments. I provide above and beyond for our child. School, home, extra activities, after school and weekend sports and every day necessesities are covered but I feel that ex partner needs to take on some financial responsibility too.

Ex has also been making purchases (new car etc.) while he is avoiding the system so appears to be receiving an income.

Thanks.

You sound like a greedy bitch to be honest. You have no idea if he's really injured or not and it's not up to you to decide if he is or isn't.

Yes you can still get what you are entitled to.

As for the injury, don't downplay pain. You don't know what he is going through. Keep your opinions on medical issues out of it

If WorkCover is paying his wages directly to him CSA will eventually send a notice to Workcover to start deducting money, but this can take several weeks. By the time the send in the notice he could of returned to work or claim closed. If his employer has continued to pay him it won't flag to CSA that he has a claim.
