It's simple my other half just took a job which involves a lot of interstate travel .
Am now told after work about 3 weeks that travel to airport, travel from airport and time away will be at no extra money ..
Wondering if this is normal or she being screwed over . The award for sector states nothing thanks

Depends on her agreement. I work for the government and when acting up I get no extra pay for interstate travel. At my current position I do but I don't get overtime for weekend travel while those on wage brackets below my get overtime in addition to travel allowance for when Sunday travel is required.
i worked in a government department and those that travelled got a meal allowance, it varied depending on where they were going, plus accommodation paid of course, but that’s it.
Travel for a lot of private enterprise is just part of the job.
Hubby got no extra allowances even if travelling over the weekend, only meal allowances and that’s it
I travel for work, cab to and from the airport I get reimbursement. If I get dropped off I don't claim. Meals on days I am working I claim, but normally we are out with someone with a company card who pays.
Any expenses when interstate like car, tolls, parking get reimbursement for.
No extra pay but if I am working on a day off I take TOIL

Travel to and from airport paid for and meal allowance. However, if employee has a company issued credit card, no meal allowance would be paid as meals can be paid for on the CC. Maybe, dependent on company/position, time in lieu for weekend travel or the ability to have a few extra days for at location with accom costs covered. Really depends on the company, but I haven't heard of people being paid extra, above and beyond their salary just for having to travel.
