Been told I'm sick but i feel fine

Hey mums, has anyone been told by their doctor that they are sick, but do not feel sick?

I have had pain down my arm from my head a few times so decided to go to the doctor after thinking it could be a clot. She thinks it's migraines. She checked me over and said i have a fever, red throat and slightly high blood pressure. She said i needed antibiotics, so she gave me some. The thing is, i feel absolutely fine? I'm not hot, my throat isn't sore and apart from the pain i feel great! She said she'll do a scan on my brain if when i go back in two weeks and I'm not feeling better. But like i said, i feel fine?

Not really sure what I'm asking to be honest.

My son never looks sick until he collapses! Then of course it’s too late and he ends up in hospital. He’s been like that since he was a child so I used to have to monitor him very carefully.
I often don’t realise how sick I am. This year I had a really bad run with asthma. Never occurred to me how sick I was until the doctor sent me to emergency. To be honest I’ve felt a lot sicker and not been sent to emergency.
The key is feelings don’t always equate to how sick you are.

I feel like saying it's just migraines is kind of dismissing my concerns. I told her that the last episode lasted quite a few hours and the next day my whole arm felt weak. I am taking the antibiotics and will wait to see how that goes. Thank you for your reply.

How you feel is not always indicative of your actual health.

As a migraine sufferer, I find it a bit odd that she hasn't referred you to a neurologist and ordered an MRI (especially if a clot was a concern!).
And that she hasn't referred you to a cardiologist given your arm pain and high blood pressure.

If you feel dismissed by your doctor and are a bit sceptical about the diagnosis - please get a second opinion!

I have migraines but not often. This doesn't feel like a migraine, more like a throbbing ache from the right side of my head, down my neck and shoulder to my right arm.

My dad thought he had a cold, he was run down and just not feeling well.
The Doctor gave him a once over, he infact had cancer, it had spread so far they couldn't find where it started.
6 weeks later he was gone.
He was 59
