Loosing baby teeth

Loosing baby teeth

My son lost his first official baby tooth only 4 days ago and already the adult tooth is coming through. Should I be worried about the adult tooth coming through too fast for the other teeth next to it? Or will they come out soon in the next few weeks? I'm worried about crowding as his mouth seems so small how the hell do adult teeth fit in kids mouths? It's one of the bottom front teeth. There was also some bleeding today. Is that normal when an adult tooth comes through?

This is totally normal most kids teeth sort themselves out over time but if they are over crowded there is nothing you can do about it until they are much older anyway (usually teenage years). Your child’s dentist will keep any eye on this.

My kids have had adult teeth come through before the baby tooth has even fallen out!
When baby teeth are coming out and adult teeth are coming in their little mouths can look pretty interesting lol (my daughters teeth stuck out at all angles for a while) but they do straighten out after time.

Regular dental appointments is about all you can do!

Make sure you're keeping up your 6 monthly dental appointments is about all I can say - they will be able to keep an eye on what's happening and suggest any early intervention that may be required.

My girl is nearly 7, has lost 9 baby teeth with 2 more on the way out (including one of her back molars because the 6 year old molars arw impacted underneath the 2 year old ones), 4 bottom adult teeth are filling the gap where she's lost 6, and the 2 front adult top teeth are starting to fill the gap where she's lost 3. I've known since she started getting teeth that we'd be looking down the barrel of early orthodontic intervention because the teeth were so tightly packed. Last dentist visit we got a referral and we'll be off to the orthodontist this month for some advice.

Thats normal! The adult tooth is in the gum and starts to push the baby teeth out most of the time. The dentist wont do anything about it and if ur kid needs braces they wont do that until they are much older and most/all adult teeth are thru. Make sure ur son cleans his teeth really well twice a day and remind him to look after them as he won't get anymore natural ones.

Kids mouths grow, along with the rest of them! 🤣
It’s better to lose the baby teeth as the adult teeth come through and push them out.
