2 year plays alone

Is it normal for a 2 year old (turned 2 in Jan) to play alone.. even at daycare?
At home she’ll play alone but a lot of the time will want me or her dad to play with her.
But at daycare it always seems she’s off playing by herself.. I’ve seen a few times she’ll be sitting drawing with others ect or will be near other kids but sort of in her own little world?
She can be quite shy and does only go to daycare once a week. So I’m not sure if it’s just because she’s shy, and a lot of kids seem to be full on which she isn’t. I’m not sure if it’s just when I pick her up, As I said I have seen her playing/ sitting with other kids at times just seems a lot she’s amusing herself with toys and exploring the room.

I have no other concerns, everything else she seems perfect with communicates well, listens ect

Yes, that’s totally normal. 2yo often do solitary play or parallel play.
It’s not until around age 4 that friends play comes into the equation.

Yes normal. Its developmental, at first they're very ego-centric, it's all about them, around age two or three they will start playing with others side by side, so they're with someone but still doing their own thing, then the next developmental step is to play the same thing together and interact, they start to interweave their play a bit and cooperate and work it out together. It all takes time.
