Itchy skin during pregnancy

16 weeks with my 3rd baby and my arms back and legs have started to feel irritated and itchy more irritated feeling I would say . I don’t remember if I got itchy with my other pregnancy’s.

I use coconut oil bio oil body creams every time I shower yet I still feel irritated and itchy .

I’m starting to worry it’s that liver condition that happens during pregnancy ? Or am I over reacting? Anyone else get irritated itchy skin during pregnancy ?

I'd stop with the oils and see if it improves, they may be exacerbating the problem.
My skin was so sensitive, itchy and irritated during my pregnancies - my Dr's chalked it up to hormones.

It's probably just one of those uncomfortable pregnancy symptoms but definitely see your doctor to rule out anything serious and to get some treatment advice.

I had this and yes it was Choleostasis which was confirmed by a blood test which checked liver enzymes. Worst case scenario you deliver early (37 weeks). I was already booked in for 38 weeks so we made it til then issue free. I had it very mild my numbers were just under the safe point.

No problem! I was 30 weeks and also had some very mild bleeding and cramping. When I say bleeding maybe three drops a day and it wasn’t super fresh red coloured. I also was very itchy no matter what material I wore. It was mainly on my hands, feet, lower back and belly. My obstetrician wasn’t too concerned as long as I was in for my weekly check ups :) I did go and have a SAT I think it was called (stress test) on bubs and they monitored his movements for 2 hours and all was fine.

I was going to say ask about ICP! It can be very dangerous to you and baby so best to rule it in or out ASAP!!
