This is kinda long but need to get it out sorry in advance...
October 2017 my family became homeless to no fault of our own the owner moved back and have had no luck when applying we are a family of 6 i work fulltime but keep trying.
Due to many factors mainly my job and our marriage housing nsw have said they cant help we arent high priority we are on the wait list.
We did the emergency accommodation but they were asking for 1/2 my wages to cover that and it left us with very little so my in-laws let us move in which im greatful for but now we are coming up to 2 months and all we do is fight, moving towns isnt an option for us, my MIL micro parents our kids everything we do she comments if we ground them we are mean if we dont we are to easy if we take them out we are wasting money if we dont go we are lazy we cant win. My MIL yells at them all the time we are miserable.
Has anyone been through this? Any hints on how to make things easier.
Side note we pay the rent and bills while we are there plus food so we arent freeloading just want to fix things

its unfortunate they've helped you out but it's unliveable. The only solution is to get out ASAP.
Post on the community board asking for rentals. Visit the real estates and speak to them.
Search gumtree and Google for private rentals and long stay accommodation.
I think you just have to keep persisting with the house hunting, you'll find something eventually but if an extensive period of time goes by with no luck you may need to consider relocating. I know you say it's not an option but it may need to become one in future.
As for your MIL, just try and rise above it. Think of it as a temporary annoyance, it sounds like you could bend over backwards and she'd still find something to criticize so just do what you want to do. There's no pleasing people like this!
