Hi IM's. I was just wondering if anyone could show me photos or examples of their jobs charts and/or rewards charts for their children? Also age appropriate job ideas. I have 2 boys 4 and 6 who think that Mum will do everything. I have another smaller child and am pregnant so Mum is getting a bit too tired of constantly arguing and fighting over the cyclonic mess they find acceptable in leaving and zero respect for anything. Please help! I'm at the end of my tether! Thank you.

At that age I basically expected my kid to clean up after himself.
For example
1. Put dirty dishes in sink/draining board/dishwasher
2. Hang up towel after bath
3. Put dirty clothes in hamper/basket
4. Pack away toys at pack away time (usually just before dinner)
5. Put own rubbish in bin and distinguish between recycling and rubbish
These chores are built into our daily routine so are basically habits that I had to heavily prompt from a young age until my son just did automatically.
Actual chores include
1. Emptying dishwasher
2. Setting the table for dinner
3. Clearing the table after dinner
4. Feeding pets
5. Drying dishes
6. Vacuume/sweep (badly but how else do they learn)
These needed a verbal reminder at about the age yin are talking about.
I prefer making punishments meaningful eg you refuse to pack away toys, at a set time of day those toys left out go to charity (put in a box in the car). They get the idea pretty quickly!
