Centrelink entitlement

Help!

I'm changing my centrelink to partnered when my partner moves in in Jan, I keep trying to do the online calculator to see how much ill lose but it keeps telling me I'm entitled to $0?
Partner earns about 1600 a f/n after tax and I have a son to him and a son from a previous relationship who isn't on the birth certif and has nothing to do with us. Would anyone know ball park average how much I'm entitled to? This is very stressful ๐Ÿ˜•

Probably zero payment but you would still get family tax benefit.

How much is FTB?

It would depend but at a very rough guess 700 or 800 a fortnight

FTB Partnered is about $500 before any other entitlements like rent assistance, energy supplements or child care benefits etc. It also depends on your annual family income estimate. I believe if it's higher than 40k a year is when your FTB is reduced. It may have changed but when our estimate was at 40k on the dot I got about $400 fortnightly in FTB with one child (extra entitlements included). If your partner is earning $1600 fortnightly after tax he'd be on around 50k a year before tax so that's what you'd need to set your estimate at, at the least and any income you earn outside of centrelink if you have any.

Everyone's payments will vary you really need to discuss it with someone from centrelink to ensure you're getting the correct advice!

Zero would be about right if he's on that kind of fortnightly wage. If your youngest child is 6 you'll actually need to apply for newstart, which won't make a difference in your entitlements based off his income, it'll just mean you'll need to do job search or study.
You'll also need to update your yearly family income estimate which may lead your family Tax benefit to drop.

You're best to go in and speak to someone directly though but either way your new partner will need to pick up the slack financially.

You'll loose everything except your family tax benefit. I still get $800 a f/n and my OH earns $60k a year. One of my payments is a carers allowance for my child with a disability. If your partner is not willing to support you then you should not be moving in together. It really is that simple. Centrelink will not give you money you are not entitled to.

As soon as you declare that your partner is living with you again, you wonโ€™t be entitled to single parent payment anymore. You will still get FTB for your child. If you get confused you should probably go in person, they can help you. Good luck!

Your family will be on $800 per week clear plus FTB which is plenty to live on.

We budget on my husband clearing $1100 a fortnight. Often it's more, if it's less parenting payment partnered kicks in. We have a 1 and 2 year old and get just over $500 ftb
