My son is 7 yrs old and has always had urine issues from frequent urination to incontinence. As his getting older or has become more of a psychological issue as well as physical. I took him to our gp and after lots of tests ended up at a peadiatric dr. We have found out his bladder has spasms that make him want to urinate all the time and alot of times have accidents. The dr has suggested we try some medication oxybutynin to try and lessen the spasms and retrain his bladder. Just wondering if anyone has tried this type of medication for their children ? His on the lowest dose they can give him. Please note; this is not a being lazy, or retoilet train issue it's more medically diagnosed bladder issues.

Yes, not for my child, but for me!
I was on a high dose for similar reasons.
It helped, but it took a few days of feeling when a spasm was about to happen...it’s an odd feeling but it definetly helps.
The side effects were looser stools, a bit of dizziness and a bit of tummy cramping.
Ok great thanks, his dr has only put him on a very small dose but we are hopeful it will help him
