Antenatal depression or just hormonal?

Antenatal depression or just hormonal?

I have a history of very complicated births, one resulting in myself and bubs almost dying. My whole pregnancy I was told I'd be induced before term. Have been given several induction dates just to have them cancelled/rescheduled. Since this has happened the latest time and now I'm overdue I literally just feel numb. I'm not sad anymore about it, I'm not disappointed or angry and worst of all I'm not even excited anymore. I literally just feel nothing. I don't wanna eat or do anything but lay in bed. Is there such a thing as antenatal depression or is this just hormones? I so want to feel like me again and I'm scared that when my baby is born I won't bond with it as I don't even feel slightly excited anymore.

Please speak to your GP this week. Depression can come on at any time. Sometimes it's situational, sometimes it's not.
You deserve some help through this time and to be monitored through this time. X

Talk to your Dr or midwife.... that really sucks you are getting the run around... your scared and preparing yourself for the worst when you should be excited! They will be aware of the complications you had and will be monitoring that. Stay strong mumma.... but talk to someone let them know what's going on...they arent mind readers xx
