remembering his father

hi guys,
may be a silly question but my childs father lives overseas and he only sees him when we go across. try and go every couple of months for couple of weeks. my child is 2, my question is does he know deep down that, that is his dad? i know when he gets older he will understand.
someone asked me that and it has kind of stunned me - over thinking it :/.

Kids don't really know what Dad and Mum really means at this age. They know who there primary carers are though, which is you.

He wouldnt see him as a primary carer, so a parent figure, but if you live togehter while over there then he would have thr experience of him being someone close to you.
As he grows up it will be good (obviously not ideal) that he can picture and place his father when hes absent.
Are you together? If not and youre doing this just for your child, I would say it doesnt really matter and youre better saving your money for other things and do trips later.

at 2 years old, they won't be aware of who their father is - just who takes care of them! as your child gets older, they'll eventually register who their father is, but i guess its all about how you present your relationship dynamic to him or not if you two are friendly or not. don't stress!
