This is more of a rant
What the actual f**k is wrong with our justice system!? Today I read that a 26 year old mother beat her 8 month old baby with a kitchen utensil and threatened to throw her over a balcony. She walked away with a two year good behaviour bond and a $500 fine, because the judge said "the child's physical injuries are likely to resolve". Not long ago there was a 24 year old man who raped a 7 year old girl and the defense argued it was only "momentary" and "he let the girls escape". The judge sentenced him to five years with an eligibility for parole after 20 months! There are so many other cases like this here in Australia. Where there has been a disgusting act of distrust against an innocent child and the offender walks away with a minimal sentence, or no sentence at all! Our justice system is lacking. There is something seriously wrong with it. I feel like we as parents are being let down by the system. And our children are being let down.

I agree with you and it makes me so mad and upset :(
The justice system is terrible. Good behaviour bonds are handed out like lollipops!
I truely hope that woman never has another child in her care!
It's the patriarchal system we live in. Women and children don't matter and it needs to change. Speak up ladies!
I believe what is wrong with the "justice system" Is that it's full of enablers. Distorted individuals letting other distorted individuals off lightly. It needs to go back to the way it was, drag them to the village square and let the mob take care of them. The monster who got that pathetic jail sentence will hopefully be getting raped by bubba and the rest of them for the next 20 months. pedos need to be shot as they are sick and twisted and can't be rehabilitated / don't want to be.
My DD was a victim of abuse from her biological father...she was shaken at 6 weeks old which caused significant brain damage...
He got 4 years with 18 months parole...and he is out and has even had another child...
Yet my DD lives with issue after issue for the rest of her life...
