Hello IM's. Just wondering if anyone on heres baby started to walk before they crawled. My little man is just over 7 months and pulls himself up and coasts along furniture. He has even tried to go feon one peice of furniture to another. He doesn't crawl properly yet. He can go in reverse or commando style. Bur not very fast. People keep telling me that he needs to crawl first. Or that its not good for him to walk first.

Load of nonsense based on an outdated theory.
Children do things that are convenient, comfortable and get them where they want to be the fastest.
The fast majority of children will crawl first. Some won't crawl at all and some will half crawl and some will crawl for about 2 seconds before learning to walk.
Not crawling isn't indicative of anything and forcing your child to crawl won't achieve anything.
My boy walked and ran by 8 months. The best advice I can give you is get eyes in the back of your head and start child proofing ASAP. That is the only down side to having an early walker, they seem to be able to get into stuff more easily cause in my experience climbing didn't come far behind lol
This is my boy! Commando crawling from 5 months, pulling up to stand at 7 months, crawling properly at 8 months and has just started taking steps at 9 months. My husband walked before he crawled at like 8 months - he jokes it's the only time he did anything early 😂 Kids do things when they're ready and there's not much we can do about it!
Haha, my son never crawled an inch in his life - even that time he drunk at age 18 when I had to throw his ass in the shower.
My daughter bum chuffled then walked at 17months. So no crawling
He crawled today. Kind of a weird leg kicking thing but hey he has it. Just as he is starting to stand by without holding on as well. Thanks for all the reassurance! I guess every bubba is unique 🙃
