Vasectomy and pregnancy

Hi ladies,

I apologize in advance if this is long. My partner had the snip 5 years ago, I was on the pill just to regulate my period etc, i came off that 6 months ago to see how my body would regulate my period on its own, so far it's handled it well. However for those 6 months I had no sex drive at all, but about a week ago my sex drive came back ten fold. We have been having sex multiple times a day all without any other contraception but the vasectomy. For the last three mornings I have woken up feeling really sick and continued to feel nauseous all day. I can't handle the smell of any kind of meat and I feel like I am pregnant. I have the same kind of feeling now that I had 7 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter. My question is, is it even possible to fall pregnant this long after a vasectomy or could this just be something else altogether?

It certainly is possible however it sounds like typical PMS symptoms which can change every month :)

Take a test! Yes, you could be pregnant. A vasectomy reversing itself has been known to happen.

Pregnancy is always a possibility if you've had sex, protected or unprotected. There is no such thing as a 100% contraceptive.

Did your partner get his sperm tested 3 months after vasectomy? Cos I have heard that if you don't go and get this done there could still be swimmers! My friend was conceived this way! Maybe just do a pregnancy test to ease your mind
