Would you pay for nit removal?

Hypothetical question. If your kids had nits and you could go to someone's house and they did all the dirty work, the nit combing and picking for the eggs would you do it and how much would you pay?
Just something my friends and I were discussing.

If I was rich YES.
I'm not so it's not something I could justify spending money on.
I mean base hourly rate has to be over $20 per hour to make it worth someone's time doing the job.

Depends how long the hair is.

We did this when I was younger and it was so much easier than Mum doing it as she had three of us to treat. It was $50 per person and that included an aftercare spray. They opened up a shop locally which shut down pretty quick as there wasn't much interest. I know they still do home visits but don't make a whole lot.

If my kids were suffering from recurring bouts of lice, that I tried and failed to treat myself, then I'd consider taking them to a professional service. Or if there were some other reason I couldn't do it myself. Otherwise, no I wouldn't.

It's not something I would pay for as a service.,

I have paid for this service, hair (especially wet hair pieces between my fingers) creeps me out and add in tiny bugs into the equation and I am out! I paid $45 for my childs hair to be done and that included a nit comb and treatment (still in its packaging cause I'm not doing it myself 😂). That was 3 years ago. Thankfully we have not had nits since.
