Anxiety or mothers instinct?

Anxiety or mothers instinct?

I suffer from anxiety, I take medication for this.

I find this really colours my judgement when it comes to recognising problems with my children.

A few days ago I watched a video about infantile spasms on a local mums page and I am now convinced that my 4 month old is suffering. My husband disagrees and thinks I'm being anxious. I know that if I take him to the Dr's they will tell me I'm being anxious. How will I ever be taken seriously? I believe that if I hadn't seen the video, I would not have thought anything was wrong.

What would you do?!

You video record your child's spasms and take the video to the GP. That way the GP can judge by seeing, if it warrants further investigation.

My son is epileptic so I often have to record seizures and any unusual repetitive actions that could be seizures.

If you know that if you didnt see the video them you wouldnt worry then you know this is an irrational fear.
When your child has problems or symptoms then its a rea fear and likely people will listen regardless of your own anxiety.
If you find yourself stuck Having negative thoughts ans irrational fears you need to go to gp for yourself. Its ok to not be ok.
