Christmas and presents

Ok ladies.
It's a silly question but i want to ask about Christmas. I've decided that next year I'm going to pull my son (8yo ) out of school and take him and myself on a 3 month trip around Europe, seeing as much as we can while also being home schooled. Now the question is. Is it wrong if I only give him the plane tickets and a few small things that he can use while away for his Christmas present and still get his one present from santa. ( santa only ever brings one present in my family to avoid the whole why did you get more present situation) Or do I still get him what I normally would get him? I don't want to spoil him and I think that's a huge thing for a kid to be doing.

Sorry if it's a bit mumble jumble.

I think the trip is enough and a few things he might need for it. He's old enough to understand why he's not getting as many presents as he would normally, just prepare him for it so there isn't any disappointment on the day. He's a lucky kid, have fun.

I think what you want to do is plenty

It sounds great! I'd also make up a little book of what you will be doing in Europe, like places you intend to visit and stuff - just as the holiday is more something you're doing on your terms :)

Make sure a cheap little digital point and shoot camera is a Christmas present if he doesn't have one. What a great present!
