Allergy immunotherapy

Hi IMs
I am currently looking at allergy immunotherapy for my 7 year old. She has been diagnosed as being highly allergic to both dust and dust mites and is facing a lifetime use of a steroid nasal spray to prevent her adenoids and and turbinates from redeveloping after her surgery earlier this year.
I'm aware that it is a lengthy process (up to 5 years, omg) and was given a rough estimate of the costs involved (which shocked me)
So my question is, have any others been through this process and had a health fund that also covered any of the expenses?
