QLD relocation

Hi everyone,
We're thinking of relocating from Victoria to Queensland and I was just wanting to know if anyone has done this before? We have 2 small children, I study and will have to transfer universities. It's scary but kind of exciting. We would be leaving all our family and friends.
What are some great areas to live in either sunshine coast or gold coast, and where should we avoid. We will need somewhere that has a good school district as well.
Did anyone regret selling everything and taking a big risk? Or are you happy you made the move?

I made this move! I'm in Pacific Pines on the Gold Coast. It's a great family suburb. Not far from theme parks and pretty close to everything else. There are 3 primary schools in my area 2 public and one catholic. All are wonderful schools! I don't regret moving one bit! We absolutely love it here. We were from vic originally too. The weather is better, it's beachy and so much fun things to do for the whole family. We left all out family and friends too but we have heaps of friends here so was ok. It is scary, I was petrified but it's worth it! And if it doesn't work out, you can always go home ☺️ Good luck xx

We do this with our work - relocate. The last time we did it was before we had a 1st child and we've been in Bris and now we're about to have our 2nd. While it's been nice to have the support network, I loved living away from our family. I loved not "having" to catch up out of obligation. What I'm trying to say is that I didn't mind being away from our families.
