Monday I did a home test and found out Im pregnant with number 2! I did another two since then - all positive.
Im booked in Monday with the doctors.
Im all over the place. Im really excited, and happy. Then Im crying and panicking.
Is this normal?
I had hoped for three years after my first I'd be lucky enough to fall pregnant again. Now that its happened Im on a crazy rollercoaster with my emotions.
Im also worried about losing my bond with my first born, and step-child :(

Congratulations! Your hormones are going crazy right now and those feelings are all normal. Your love for your first born and step-child won't diminish, you will just find new love in your heart for your second child. Enjoy the ride and congrats again x
Yep normal.
As to loosing a bond, did you loose your bond with your child because you gained a step child? Did you not bond with your step child because you had your own child? You will have a bond with all your children.
Thank you for your replies, I was really worried it wasnt normal to feel like this.
My partner and I havent told anyone yet, and I have no one to talk to right now.
Absolutely perfectly normal to feel this way.
Having already been through a Pregnancy before, this time around you know exactly what to expect - the ups, downs and challenges it can present.
I can promise you that your bond will not be lost with your step child/own child. Maybe set aside for some one on one time for just them too xx
Congratulations mumma!!
You defs don't lose the any love/bonds for your first or your step child, your heart just grows bigger to fill with more love. Having said that learning to juggle a newborn, a toddler and a step child takes patience, you learn how to balance time for everyone, you will do just fine!!
As for the hormones and emotions some times when we want something so bad when we actually receive it we don't know how to feel, your hormones band emotions will settle down as the pregnancy progresses!!!
Enjoy the prenancy if you can because it doesn't last longπππ
