Just over 37 weeks pregnant, and for the last week I am experiencing horrible sciatic pain down my left side. It's keeping me up at night and is making me just that much more immobile. I've tried hot showers and heat packs, but nothing seems to help. It's there from the minute I wake up and is driving me crazy!
My biggest concern is that it will still be there when baby comes and I am terrified it's going to make labour that much more painful.
Did u experience this, and if so, were u able to find any relief, or get rid of it before the birth?

I had it from the start of my pregnancy and continued through in delivery!
I found getting in the water, a warm swimming pool was heavenly. My dad used to take me and just being in the pool, I was pain free and seemed to make my day go a bit better.
Sleeping with loads of pillows to prop up my body was really good too. I used to sleep on my side with one pillow between my legs, another pillow under my tummy and a couple under my head.
In the labour itself it actually didn't seem that bad in comparison to the actual labour pains. Yes it hurt but labour pains won out!
I would go to a physio and see if they might be able to recommend some strategies to decrease the pain xx
If I could post a picture of this stretch I did whilst pregnant I would. I had terrible sciatica from 15 weeks!
It's a bit hard to explain but I'll keep an eye out on FB and post the pic there.
