Pregnancy and depo needle

Hi, I'm am curious to know if anyone has fallen pregnant on the Depo needle. I've been on it many years in between pregnancies but I have this real weird feeling I'm gonna fall pregnant even though I have it every 3 months religiously. Any experiences with this will be helpful. Thanks

There is a failure rate with every single form of contraception. There is always a small chance you could become pregnant using any form of contraception.

As I absolutely do not want to fall pregnant I have my tubes tied AND use condoms. My sister fell pregnant two years after having her tubes tied. Until I'm in a very long term committed relationship I will always use two forms.

1998 to 2016. No babies. Pre-1998 I fell pregnant with a pill/condom combo baby, depo worked for me.

If you're getting your depo shot, every 3 months without delay (not a few days late etc) it will be at its most effective, so the likely hood of falling pregnant will be very slim. Of course there is always a chance of becoming pregnant no matter what form of contraceptive you use. If having another baby is 100 percent not an option for you, maybe you could consider using a secondsry method to put your mind at ease.

I fell pregnant after my 3rd depo shot however choose to not keep the baby and decided best choice was termination however that was before the 3 children I have now and their dad and I where not ready For a baby as we where only together for 3months and I thought by us being safe and taken precautions to not fall pregnant but still ended up pregnant fast forward to before my first born baby I woke up in recovery to find I had the implanon rod put in straight after my termination, and every time the drs refused to take it out as all I was doing was constant bleeding but as I supposedly had the trial one put in after my termination so it had to stay in the whole 3yrs (doctors words where so you don't end up back in here? I don't recall getting asked to put it in but with all the paperwork I signed on the termination day I have no doubt the form for the implanon was in there to cover their asses?) I basically had a period for 3yrs with a break of a week here and there of not bleeding ,I lost all my body weight went through hell with ridiculous thoughts and mood swings then after the 3yrs it was finally removed to my relief thank god and it took two years to conceive my first born son so I guess I'm saying that yes it's very possible to fall pregnant on any contraception and I have come to find out I cannot use hormone based contraception and the mirena I don't think I want to put another foreign object into my body after a my bad experience with the implanon but no contraception is 100% so I guess for some it works great and others it just doesn't.
Sorry for the long rant
