Thrush! So embarrassing

Sorry it's gross. I keep getting thrush all the time I had it the other week and took that pill you take but it came back again 2 days ago. Its aways been like a liquid thrush but I was in the shower last night and it was like cottage cheese just pilling out of me. With blood in it too. The lips around my vagina are all inflamed I held the shower hose down there on it for about half an hour last night to have some release. It made me sick I'm so itchy too so itchy! Any suggestions on what to do how to get rid of it and stop it from coming back all the time, the pill where I am is $18 and I can't afford it all the time.
I should also add I see the dr every time I get it

Have you been to the doctor? You need to see them. The pill packet even says to go see the doctor if it occurs again (i think it's more than once a year don't quote me)

Lancane on the area helps with the itchiness, it is an over the counter cream from the chemist. I had it in my twenties, it just stopped after a few years, the pill can cause it. You might need to do 2 treatments not just one when you get it.

You need to see a doctor what you're describing is not normal. Also get anstd check while you are there. If you have a boyfriend he will also need to be treated for thrush. You'll just keep passing it back and forth if your not both treated.

Reoccuring thrush can be a symptom of diabetes. Like a previous poster said, make sure you treat your partner at the same time. Also taking a pro biotic like Inner Health Plus can help boost the good bacteria in your nody and reduce your vhances of getting thrush.

I Know this sounds really gross, but if you can get a probiotic that is in a capsule, break it open and push the powdery stuff up inside you (sorry, I don't know a delicate way to put it! Lol). It creates a weird smell but leave it there for a few hours and then shower. It was the only thing that got rid of mine. Also treat your partner at the same time or it'll just keep getting passed back and forth.

Hi I went through a period of getting thrush monthly, drove me crazy! Doc gave me a script to get bulk packs of the tablets, it was heaps cheaper than buying them in single doses. She said mine was a hormonal thing, i don't get it as often now.

I was struggling with recurring thrush and was recommended by a pharmasist to take probiotics regularly. Since I started that I haven't had an issues.

Yogurt ! Sounds gross but put natural yoghurt up and around the area !
OR do the tablet and cream at the same time !
Inner health plus as others have said !
And change ur undies regularly while u have it (or wear a liner ) I find this helps reduce the itch !
I'd maybe also ask ur dr to do swabs !? To make sure it's not some other infection !?
But having said that thrush can be a pain to get rid of !! My baby had it in her mouth and if there was only a tiny bit left it'd come back and then it would go on my nipples to ! Nasty !!

Treat ur partner and ur self and keep doing the cream for a while even after the itch has stopped !! Good luck

Definitely not standard thrush, best revisit the Dr. to make sure there is nothing going on. Make sure your wearing cotton undies, sleep without them on at all, and no soap. Also if it's happening around your period switch to a cotton brand of pad or tampon, made a huge difference for me (now use a menstral cup and haven't had thrush for ages)
