Endo and contraception

What have those with endo used as contraception after a baby? I've tired the pill and the rod before I had bub. I got my first period today 10 weeks after giving birth and I'm back to feeling like I'm dying. My poor girls in her swing beside me so I can reach down to fees her (she's bottle fed) and changing her nappy makes me want to scream from the movement.
Before bub we stopped using the rod as it was messing with my weight and mood too much. I was looking at an IUD but unsure how endo reacts to it?

I have the mirena for endo. It does the job pretty well but it's one of those things you need to do to see if it suits. Some people get heavier periods and some none. I still bleed a little bit quite often but I'm not in agony. Definitely worth it! It can also cause weight gain. It takes a few months to settle in
